About My Bus
The "Miss Erica Lynn"

Erica Lynn

Fall, 1988
About the Name I have thoughtfully and reverently named the bus after my oldest daughter who went to be with our Lord in 1989, at the tender age of 16 years.  She was a spirited and tender soul who exemplifies to me the essence of our lives.  She touched many people with an uncompromising sense of right and a conviction to those beliefs.  She crosses my mind constantly and now she represents to all who see the bus how much she will always mean to me.
About the Bus The "Miss Erica Lynn" is a 35 foot long former Greyhound passenger bus.  It was built in 1965 by Motor Coach Industries (MCI) of Pembina, North Dakota.  It is powered by a Detroit 8V-71 diesel engine through a new Allison 4 speed automatic transmission.  The coach and all the operating systems were completely refurbished in 1999 into a very cozy and comfortable home to accommodate my wanderings.  The drive train was updated and completely gone through in 2004.

The electrical system has 12VDC, 24VDC and 120VAC, available and uses a Trace PS2500 Inverter.

The interior was designed to feel as spacious as possible and yet be as functional as possible.  It contains all of the conveniences necessary to wander around our beautiful country, even a basement!!

All major systems, such as the drive train, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and suspension systems have been overhauled and/or updated to assure reliability.
